Class Newsletter #4 - 10/9/2016

Dear Friends,

It was great to see everyone Thursday night and many of you at the First Friday Fun Fest!

As I said in the first weeks, don’t be surprised if you learn a new move or two at other dances. The calls we learned at the Fun Fest were Couples Circulate and Wheel and Deal. You all did a great job dancing! We will cover these new calls in more depth this Thursday.

In the next few weeks we are going to be dancing more calls where the Heads or the Sides are doing something in the middle of the square. If you are the active dancer you will be busy doing the call. If you aren’t in the middle of the square dancing you should be watching what is going on because you will be doing it next. Or you should be alert because the dancers in the middle will be coming toward you so you need to be ready to dance with them when they get to you. The bottom line is that even if you are not physically involved in dancing the call you need to be mentally alert and ready to react when the next call involves you.
