Club History
Samena Squares first became a Square Dance club in 1964. We started out as a Bellevue club, moving to Kirkland when a new dancing location was required. Samena is a Native American word for hunter and our club badge includes a raven.
We have both couples and singles as club members
We are an adult club with dancers of all ages. Some families have children who are members of a local teens or kids square dance club. Square dancing is for everyone.
We dance twice a month at our own hall in Kirkland, Washington, the Juanita Community Club, every month from September through June.
Once a month we Caravan to visit another square dance club in the area
Sometimes we have gone on overnight trips to such places as Rochester, Moxee and Winthrop, Washington.
